Staying true to their mission of “Connect to Protect,” this group is committed to collaboration among landowners, farmers, municipalities, conservation groups, and other stakeholders across regional watersheds.

This community-led group was formed after the 2021 flood to unite local residents, farmers, and professionals around flood and climate resilience. They use research and data to guide conservation, land management, and education efforts to build a healthier, more resilient watershed through collaboration and innovation.

Friends of Trempealeau Lakes aims to manage invasive aquatic plants and reduce nitrogen entering three natural, spring-fed lakes adjacent to the Mississippi River near Trempealeau, Wisconsin, to improve water quality and recreational value.
