Video | Field to Stream Partnership lessons learned
The Root River Field to Stream Partnership is a unique water monitoring project located in southeast Minnesota. It combines rigorous data collection, strong personal relationships and real conservation action. These key components are highlighted in an article in Issue Fifteen of the Open Rivers Journal (November 2019).
Root River Field to Stream Partnership uses edge-of-field and in-stream monitoring to measure water quality in three Root River watershed study areas. Results are discussed with farmers, landowners, fertilizer dealers, water managers and community leaders individually and in events to promote an advanced level of conservation planning and delivery.
Lessons learned from the first seven years of monitoring and stories of three farmers are highlighted in this video, released in 2018.
