The Fishers & Farmers Partnership is seeking FY26 project proposals from local watershed leaders, aimed at improving soil health on land and aquatic habitat in streams within the Mississippi River basin.

The Fishers and Farmers Partnership proudly announces the allocation of over $200,000 to bolster soil health and water quality initiatives in five states within the Upper Mississippi River Basin.

More frequent and intense storm events in the past decade have forced local governments to try new tracking and prevention strategies. The Monroe County Land Conservation Department in Southwest Wisconsin, is using real-time Flood Monitoring Stations to combat an increase in conservation project failures.

Fishers & Farmers Partnership for the Upper Mississippi River Basin is seeking project proposals to benefit aquatic habitat in Mississippi River basin streams. Federal funding is available under the National Fish Habitat Partnership through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to fund the top ranked proposals. Deadline January 15, 2024.
